For 36 years the Top of the Bay Junior has been one
of the favorite events on our JGANC calendar. Started in the
70s by Bill Fisher, his two sons were JGANC members and played
in the event. Then they grew up and son Jim began helping his
dad run the tournament. Before long Suzanne, Jim's wife, got
into the act so it became a family affair including Bill's wife
Ann.
Many of our well known former members such as Bobby Clampett,
Juli Inkster, Paula Creamer, Christina Kim, Dan Forsman, Pat
Hurst, Scott McCarron and many others played at some point at
the Top of the Bay. Listed as a premier event over the years,
it remains one of the top destinations and it is all due to the
many years of hard work and dedication to junior golfers by this
amazing Fisher family. Congratulations! You are indeed appreciated. |
