2007 Boys USGA JUNIOR AMATEUR Boone Valley GC Augusta, Missouri

The 2007 USGA Boys Junior Amateur was held July 23-18 at Boone Valley GC in Augusta, Missouri. We sent our top boys, all being capable of going to the finals. But golf is golf and one never knows from one day to the next the outcome. This one was surprising, however. None of our boys qualified for match play. This is a first for us and certainly not because our boys lacked the talent and experience. It is simply golf. We sent five boys who had qualified at our three local sites; Stanford, Fresno and Woodland. None would qualify for match play. All gave a gallant effort and we are proud of them.
