The JGANC is accepting membership applications
for the year 2008. Print this application and mail to the JGANC
along with your check. Membership dues are $70.00 per year. Applicants
will be mailed a membership packet as soon as the application
is processed. The membership packet will include the calendar
of events listing over 90 tournaments, universal entry forms
you may duplicate and use to enter any sanctioned JGANC tournament,
and other important information for junior golfers.
Before the JGANC will accept you as
a member of the association you and your parent(s) must read
and agree to the following Codes of Conduct:
Junior Member
- Violation of the Code of Conduct
on the Golf Course
- *Unsportsmanlike conduct including
obscene, abusive or vulgar language.
- *Club throwing.
- *Disrespect to volunteers, officials
or fellow competitors.
- *Abuse of golf course property including
not putting litter in its place and replacing divots and repairing ball marks.
- *Cheating.
- *Use of electronic devises including
walkmans, radios, beepers, cellular phones and cameras
during play.

- Violations of the Code of Conduct
off the Golf Course
- *Any use or association with drugs
or alcohol, smoking or chewing tobacco products.
- *Vandalism at a host hotel, abusive
behavior to host family or their property.
- *Conduct unbecoming a JGANC member.

- Violation as a member of the
JGANC
- *Not withdrawing from a tournament
72 hours prior to the event is a violation and will be considered
as a No Show. Juniors who have a No Show record are not invited
to JGANC sponsored invitational events and will not be considered
for team participation. It is the junior's responsibility to
call the tournament director if they have entered a tournament
and have not received a confirmation.

- Dress Code (required dress)
- *Hats/caps/visors must be worn with
the brim forward. Males must remove hat/cap/visor while indoors at host facility.
- *Shirts must be worn and tucked in
at all times while at host facility.
- *Shorts must be no more than 6 inches
above the knee (length of dollar bill from top of the knees).
- *Shoes must be worn at all times. Spikeless
golf shoes or tennis/athletic shoes only.

- Prohibited Dress
- *Tank tops, T-shirts
- *Denim shorts, short-shorts, cut-off
shorts, gym shorts, jeans (levi's), spandex, sweats, bathing suits, halter tops.
- Note: Should host facility have a stricter
dress code, its policy will take precedence.

- Code of Conduct Violation Penalties
- *A one-stroke penalty may be accessed
for obscene, abusive or vulgar language as observed by a tournament
official. Second violation is immediate disqualification.
*Violation penalties will be applied as stated in the USGA Rules
of Golf, JGANC Rules and the rules
of the individual tournament.
- *Any Code of Conduct violation, as
reported by the tournament director to the JGANC may result in a written letter to the player
and his/her parent/guardian.
- *Repeated incidents of reported unsportsmanlike
conduct will eliminate the junior from consideration
for team selection and special invitational events.
- *Possible indefinite suspension of
player's membership if repeated infractions occur.
- Your signature on the membership
application verifies the applicant has read, understands and
agrees to adhere to the JGANC Junior Code of Conduct.

Parent/Guardian/Spectator
- Violation of the Parent/Guardian
Code of Conduct on the Golf Course
- *Unsportsmanlike conduct toward other
junior players and spectators.
- *Obscene, abusive or vulgar language.
- *Disrespect to tournament officials,
volunteers and other players.
- *Walking closer than 25 yards to competitors,
being in the fairway and not to the side.
- *Talking to competitors during play.
- *Interfering with discussions on rulings
and scores.
- *Scorekeeping as an official for your
child's group.
- *Distracting play by loud talking with
other specators and use of camera, cellular phone, radio or beeper during competition.

- Code of Conduct Violation Penalties
(in procedure order)
- *Parent/gurdian is warned by one of
the tournament committee and/or JGANC Director.
- *Parent/guardian is asked not to follow
their child during round.
- *Parent/guardian is asked to leave
the tournament site.
- *Parent/guardian in violation of Code
of Conduct
- 1. May cause stroke(s) penalty to junior
at tournament.
- 2. May cause disqualificaton of junior
from tournament.
- 3. May cause player's JGANC membership
suspension as determined by the JGANC Board
of Directors.
- Your signature on the junior's membership
application verifies the parent/guardian has read, understands
and will share conduct expectations with other family and friends
who might attend a tournament. It also verifies agreement to
adhere to the JGANC Code of Conduct.
