The trophy is almost bigger than Tiffany Dong, the Girls' Players' Champion

A new tradition began in 2007. The first annual Northern California Players' Championship was played on Thursday and Friday, July 5-6 at Ridgemark Country Club in Hollister.

The tournament accepted 154 players ages 12-17. Entries were accepted online only.

The highlight of the event was the Stableford format. This was the first such tournament for ages 12-17 on our calendar. The points will go as follows: Double Eagle 8 points, Eagle 5 points, Birdie 3 points, Par 2 points and Bogey 1 point. Anything higher than a bogey earned 0 points. So with this format, the junior with the highest score will win the event. What a switch!
