Executive Leadership

Leadership of the JGANC is a joint effort among our Executive Director, Board of Directors, Junior Advisors and Tournament Directors. Supported by our two staff members, the JGANC is led by a group of dedicated volunteers who are passionate about junior golf, working year round to provide fun, competitive golf opportunities for young golfers.

Executive Director - Shane Balfour

In February of 2010, the JGANC hired its first Executive Director, Shane Balfour.

The JGANC’s Executive Director works with the Board of Directors and the office manager to develop, implement, evaluate and maintain programs, services and activities, which fulfill the mission and goals of the JGANC.  The Executive Director provides overall management of all fiscal and program operations, implements policies established by the Board, evaluates tournaments, and provides detailed reports to the Board of Directors.

As the Executive Director, Shane brings to the JGANC his passion for kids and golf, his extensive history in the golf industry, and experience as a member of the Board of Directors of the JGANC.  You will see him at many JGANC tournaments so please take a moment to introduce yourself!

Office Manager - Mary Hui

If you have had occasion to call the JGANC office, you have been greeted by the voice of Mary Hui, our Office Manager.  Mary is the glue that holds the organization together behind the scenes.  She is responsible for the JGANC website, interfaces with BlueGolf and our Tournament Directors, processes memberships, assists our Executive Director and Board of Directors, and handles a myriad of other details to keep our organization running smoothly.  Mary has two boys and a daughter who played in the JGANC.
